The three parameters, Education-Certified Material-Harvest Time, solve significant problems that prevent producers from becoming competitive in the markets with an efficient product.
The Region of Crete
The Region of Crete, within the framework of its development role, plans and implements actions aimed at developing the regional economy by strengthening the agri-food sector, which is important for the Region of Crete, as well as strengthening research and innovation.
The project concerns the collaboration of the Region of Crete with the Technical University of Crete, ELGO - DIMITRA and PANETAIK, with the aim of implementing actions to address problems in the cultivation of Cretan avocados, as well as to promote the product at a national and international level.
ELGO - DIMITRA
ELGO "DIMITRA"/ Institute of Olive, Subtropical Plants and Vine has the required experience and expertise to implement the project, which falls within its research objectives. The subject of the project falls within the purposes of establishing ELGO-DIMITRA, which is an agricultural research and innovation body with the perspective of developing new methodological tools, extroversion and the creation of new knowledge based on tangible local data, which in turn fuels economic and social stability.
The Technical University of Crete
The Technical University of Crete has the necessary scientific staff with the required experience and expertise to implement the project, which falls within its research objectives. The subject of the research program that will be implemented falls within the purposes of the establishment of the Technical University of Crete, which, in addition to educating highly qualified young scientists and engineers, creates new knowledge for the benefit of society, pursues excellence and is a research and innovation organization with the aim of solving contemporary problems, which are also related to the local economy and society.

The Regional Development Company of Crete S.A. (P.AN.ETΑI.K. SA) is the Development Company of the Region of Crete and its purposes of establishment, according to its statute, include, among others, the utilization of the wealth-producing resources of the region, the undertaking of initiatives while simultaneously utilizing local human resources, the education and training of the local population and in particular those involved in the primary sector, the organization of events, exhibitions, workshops as well as educational or research programs. The subject of the research program that will be implemented falls within the purposes of its establishment, for the achievement of which the Company can develop collaborations and networks with local, regional, national, European and international bodies.
