- Creation of certified avocado propagating material, i.e. the availability for nurseries and producers of healthy and recognized plant material, from a certified mother plantation of ELGO-DIMITRA, which will include the varieties Zutano, Fuerte and Hass.
- Determination of official harvest dates for the main commercial avocado varieties in Crete
- Modern study of chemical characteristics of Cretan avocados.
- Use of three new technologies to maximize post-harvest storage of avocados without degrading product quality.

- Creation of a website and printed information material through which information will be provided regarding the cultivation and marketing of the fruits.
The research nature of the Project lies in the production of a unique Greek Provencal Avocado Plantation, for the production of certified propagation material for distribution to nursery companies, with the final recipients being the producers.
